Job Description

We are looking for a qualified IT Infra Engr. to design, build, deploy, and maintaining the IT infrastructure (including POWER and SURVEILLANCE System) using the latest technology. An IT infrastructure engineer ensures all the IT systems that support businesses of any size to function efficiently.

The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.

This Position Will Ideally Be Located In Banga, South Cotabato and/or Tantangan, South Cotabato.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate customer’s networks and in house servers
  • Monitors/Maintains network operations and communication within Service Level Agreements
  • Install and maintain communication systems and tools
  • Design, install, and maintain Surveillance System
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
  • Resolve problems reported by end user
  • Define network policies and procedures
  • Install and configuring computer networks and systems
  • Identify and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems
  • Monitor computer networks and systems to identify how performance can be improved
  • Work with Operations Engineers
  • Provide network administration and support
  • Establish network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols
  • Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor
  • Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
  • Upgrade network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements


Qualifications

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or compensating experience
  • Without a Bachelor’s or high level degree, an additional 2 years’ relevant experience
  • Software knowledge – IT infrastructure engineers work with a variety of software. A working knowledge of how these various systems interact virtually helps the engineer conduct rapid troubleshooting
  • Hardware knowledge – routers, servers, PCs, printers, and other equipment all fall under the IT infrastructure engineer’s purview. The engineer also knows how to manage LANs and wired/wireless networks to connect these devices
  • Problem-solving skills – getting many pieces of hardware and software to work in harmony is an ongoing and challenging task. Strong deductive reasoning and patience serve engineers well here
  • Customer service – infrastructure engineers tend to work with internal rather than external partners. Communicating well with these “customers” helps the engineer resolve outages quickly and build strong working relationships
  • Teaching ability – engineers may need to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues and train them to use software and hardware
  • Organization skills – whether keeping cable sprawl to a minimum, documenting their work, or prioritizing requests for support, IT infrastructure engineers need to stay organized to keep on top of their tasks


Technical Skills Required

  • Strong LAN and PABX troubleshooting knowledge and/or skills
  • TCP/IP Fundamentals & Commonly-Used Network Protocols (MPLS, IPV6, OSPF, BGP), IPSec and GRE Tunneling
  • Knowledge of Network Standards/Practices
  • Strong knowledge of Network Troubleshooting Tools
  • Knowledge and/or Background with Monitoring Platforms
  • Very good communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
